The project: Aims and tasks

The important impact of LA-MRSA for human and veterinary healthcare has been documented by the results of the MedVet-Staph consortium obtained in its first funding period (2010-2013). In the research second period (2014-2016), MedVet-Staph will reinforce the analysis of certain aspects which are exceptionally crucial  for developing practical interventions aiming to prevent LA-MRSA colonization and infection in humans, for policy-making in federal bodies responsible for infection control and for guidance regarding long-term control of zoonotic MRSA in the animal population.
